Here are some tips and tricks that can help you discover new awesome Chrome features, improve user experience, be more efficient, and so much more!

Swipe to navigate between tabs

Using Chrome browser, you can easily jump from one tab to another with a single swipe. It is quick and convenient. However, this feature may be different, depending on the platform you use. For iOS devices, just place your finger on the edge of your screen, and then swipe inwards right or left. As for Android devices, put your finger right on the Chrome toolbar, and swipe right or left to navigate between multiple tabs.

Display the address bar at the bottom (for Android only)

Chrome enables you to move your address bar to the bottom of the screen. In order to manually activate this feature, do the following:

  1. Type “chrome://flags” into your address bar.
  2. Press the three-dot menu in the top-right corner of your screen, select “Find in page”, and type “Chrome Home” into the search bar.
  3. Tap on the tab highlighted in red and press “Enabled”.

Once all done, a pop-up will appear, asking you to relaunch the browser. Press the “Relaunch now” button to apply the changes. Now, the address bar should be displayed at the bottom of your screen with all the recommendations and bookmarks right below it. You may disable the feature anytime.

To enable the feature, you will have to access the “Settings” tab. There, search for the “Data saver” option, tap on it, and enable it by activating the toggle. Now, you can fully enjoy high-speed page loading. Don’t forget to come back to see how much data you’ve saved, using this feature!

Protect your browser with a password

If you want to add an extra layer of protection to your mobile browser, you can lock it with a password. This way, access to all of your personal information, including browsing history, bookmarks, and browsing sessions, will be restricted for anyone but you.
